Dr. Danielle Chapman, DVM
Dr. Danielle Chapman has been a veterinarian for over 25 years. Originally from Britain, she came to the United States to pursue her dream of becoming a vet, earning her undergraduate degree with High Honors from the University of Michigan and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine with Honors from Michigan State University.
Her career has taken her from Los Angeles to London to New York before she settled in Austin, where she has focused on in-home veterinary care since 2010. Dr. Chapman believes pets feel most comfortable in their familiar surroundings—and that their families do, too.
“I became a veterinarian because of my love of animals,” she says. “Some of the people I've admired most since childhood have been veterinarians, for their hard work, intelligence, integrity, and compassion.”
When she's not caring for patients, Dr. Chapman lives in Austin with her husband, two children, and her own pets: Charlie, a gentle pittie mix, and Stella, a mini-schnauzer mix. She stays balanced through yoga (she's a certified instructor), hiking local trails, and playing pickleball.
